Our commitment to inclusive design
Compliance Statement
IdentiScope is developed in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and with reference to the emerging WCAG 3.0 Working Draft. This page was last reviewed in April 2026.
We are committed to ensuring that IdentiScope is accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and display adaptations.
Built-in Accessibility Features
Use the Aa button in the navigation bar to access the following options at any time:
- Dark / Light theme: switches between dark and light colour schemes. Respects your operating system preference by default.
- High contrast: increases contrast ratios for improved legibility.
- Reduce motion: disables animations and transitions. Respects your operating system
prefers-reduced-motionsetting by default. - Dyslexia-friendly font: switches to a sans-serif font optimised for readability.
- Relaxed spacing: increases line height and letter spacing throughout the interface.
- Font size: increase or decrease the base font size using the A− / A+ controls.
All preferences are saved to your browser and persist across sessions.
Technical Measures
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
main, nav, header, footer) for screen reader navigation - Skip to main content link at the top of every page
- All interactive elements are keyboard accessible with visible 3px focus rings
- Touch targets are a minimum of 40px (2.5rem) to meet WCAG 2.5.8
aria-liveregions announce scan results and status updates to screen readers- All images include appropriate
altattributes or are markedaria-hiddenwhen decorative - Colour is never the sole means of conveying information
prefers-color-schemeandprefers-reduced-motionmedia queries respected at the OS level- Form inputs have associated
labelelements andaria-describedbyhints
Known Limitations
- The analysis result section is dynamically rendered via JavaScript. Screen reader announcements are provided via an
aria-liveregion, but full compatibility with all assistive technologies has not been verified. - Chart and graph elements (activity distributions) are visual only and do not currently have text equivalents.
- Some third-party Twitter/X profile images may not load on slow connections; they fail silently.
